Which Presidential Candidate is the Zodiac Killer?

In the late 1960’s, at least seven people in the San Francisco Bay Area were murdered by a serial killer still known only as the “Zodiac Killer.” On December 22, 1970, Ted Cruz was born in Calgary. In February 2016, a survey by Public Policy Polling found that 10% of Florida voters were sure that Ted Cruz was, in fact, the Zodiac Killer, and another 28% were willing to entertain the possibility. The meme has become so widespread because Cruz comes across as someone who could absolutely be a serial killer. This led me to ask, what other presidential candidates could be the Zodiac Killer?

Donald Trump

Trump would have been in his mid-20’s when the Zodiac murders occurred, but I don’t think he did it. The Donald does not strike me as the sort of person who would do his own dirty work. I can absolutely see him knowing who to contact to have a person killed, and possibly even bragging about it, but I’m going to rule him out.

Marco Rubio

I think most people consider Rubio too young and inexperienced to be a serial killer. There are probably one or two unsolved murders out there that he could have committed, but not enough to establish a pattern yet.

Ben Carson

Last year, Carson worked hard to convince the American people that he assaulted friends and relatives when he was younger, and that this somehow makes him qualified for President. If he was the Zodiac Killer, we would have heard about it by now.

John Kasich

Kasich has almost certainly killed people, but in the boring sense that his policies have probably restricted or denied services to people in need. At least he’s remorseful about it, and most serial killers don’t feel remorse.

Hillary Clinton

My gut feeling is that Clinton is not the Zodiac Killer. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s made statements in the past that are somehow supportive of serial killers, which will lead to a big controversy that will dominate the news cycle even after she denounces her statement.

Also, is it sexist if I don’t think Hillary is a serial killer?

Bernie Sanders

In contrast to Trump, I can absolutely see Bernie rolling up his sleeves and doing his own dirty work. But even if Sanders is the Zodiac Killer, I’m sure that he had a very good reason for it. I’m think that if we hear him out, America will see that he did the right thing.
